Well, for starters, it all depends on when you do it. Not so many people believe that the best time of the day to go for this is first thing in the morning. That’s before getting out of the hammock! Instantly you awaken, before getting up straight away, take a minute or two lazily stretching your body!
By awarding a healthy stretch to all of your muscles, you will achieve a clear fitness edge. Stretching is as easy as anything to do and it absolutely sets you up for your day ahead. Start by stretching those legs as much as you are able to. Sneak a good yawn at the same time and stretch your arms right up above your head. You should be sitting upright as you do that. Then stretch your neck and back. Actually sense all of the muscles elongating while you do it.
Next, feeling recharged, you can get out of your bed and, add fuel to the fire, stretch your legs some more, rise up onto the balls of your feet and one final shot, steal yourself and stretch your whole body once again. One might ask what the gains are of completing this exercise?
The answer is simple. Stretching merely wakes your muscles from their extended period of static while you were in the land of nod and gets them ready for all of the work that they will have to do right through the day. Stretching naturally improves the ability of your muscles to burn off some of the surplus calories more efficiently. In addition it serves to avoid any injuries that may result from undertaking any other uncomplicated exercises by straining or pulling a muscle.
Damage to muscles is less liable to happen when you do a bit of pre-exercise strategies and stretch your muscles first. When all is said and done this is an exercise that is simple to do. Anyone can do this and you’ll find that exercising will never be so easy or more fun than a really good stretch. Don’t forget to follow it with a really big yawn for good measure!

This is really great, I always do a lot of stretching every day when I get up and throughout the day, so this is really useful info to know. I don’t really need to lose weight, but its nice to know that stretching is good for your overall health in more ways than I’d previously imagined.
