Weight Loss Help brings you yet another great post on yet another angle to the task of losing weight successfully. In this post, I’m going to look at ways of losing weight that involve halving what you would normally set out to do. This is what I mean by lose weight by half…

When most of us set out to lose weight, we set ourselves goals that we then try our best to achieve in order to drop a few pounds or some more serious weight loss agenda if obesity is becoming the problem that needs to be tackled. Either way, we nearly always set those goals too high and because they are so difficult to attain, we lose interest and the weight loss plan that we started out with such high hopes dissolves before our very eyes. So how best to turn this around and make it a success?

Well, instead of setting unrealistic goals, what you do is take the goal you originally set and half it! That’s right, if you set out to lose 8 pounds in four weeks, then half it to lose 4 pounds in four weeks. It sounds much easier to achieve and it is!

The great thing about doing this is that once you have achieved your goal, which is infinitely more likely that you will, then you can set yourself another goal to lose the same in the next four weeks. If you can do it once, you can do it again, right?

Well, maybe. You see, losing the first few pounds is always a little easier than losing the last few, which is why this method is so successful. You can lose a pound a week easily when you start out and you might even find that you exceed your goal and end up losing the original target without even trying. This gives you such a boost to your confidence, you will not believe! That’s why its such a powerful way of losing weight.

But to then carry that on, it might not be so easy as the first time around. You don’t want to knock that confidence so soon after gaining it, so if you must still lose more weight, then do it by half again! Yep, instead of aiming for another 4 pound lost in the next 4 weeks, half it and aim to lose just 2 pounds in the next 4 weeks. Does that suddenly sound a little too easy?

That’s the idea! It should be easy, because easy means success! And Success means confidence which is worth its weight in gold.
